The Elon Musk
Elon Musk’s visionary leadership style is about constantly learning, breaking through barriers, and developing new ways to solve problems. He also has the emotional intelligence to bring the best out of his team, and we can attribute all this to his vast success. An adaptive leader will create a culture of continuous learning and growth, empowering people to always look for ways to improve. Elon is driven around purpose, being of service to others and focused on solving problems and motivated by helping people save the planet. He’s not afraid to have fun and respect grows for him as he shows up as his authentic and vulnerable self.

The Oprah
A transformational leader such as Oprah acknowledges the fact that success need not be a solo endeavour. When forming a team, Oprah only hires and supports talented people that she believes in, it’s not only the people she selects that gives her this unprecedented edge it’s her natural ability to motivate her team and this is one ability that is often considered the best in her list of leadership practices.

The Trump
Autocratic leadership, also known as authoritarian leadership, is a leadership style characterized by individual control over all decisions and little input from group members. Autocratic leaders typically make choices based on their ideas and judgments and rarely accept advice from followers. Trumps lane only goes in one direction. This autocratic leader tends to harbour feelings of superiority towards the people they lead, contamination that can make them dangerous. Trump’s drive for power and money achieves results at the cost of people and the environment.

Scott From Marketing
Not to generalize leaders in marketing because we certainly know some amazing leaders in the space. The leadership style we reflect on this week is our Prime Minister after a week loaded with head in hand responses a transactional leader focused on objectives. This type of leader acquires the role of the ‘guardian of the motivation’ for the group often favouring one group over another. They provide rewards and enforce punishments depending on the group’s interest and performance. The danger of this type of leadership resides in the supporters surrounding the objective, these leaders end up harming their own credibility by racing for ‘likes’ and the photo opportunities in a hyper-connected social influenced competitiveness towards favouritism.

The Jacinda
Jacinda is a progressive leader able to rise in times of distress and major changes. This kind of leadership also reflects social values and out of horror inflicted by those who can’t accept the world as it is Jacinda brings a vision of a better world focused on growth and adaptability to change, leading with her heart, her authenticity and sponsoring change from the top. Unafraid to get her hands dirty this leader is lead by compassion and looks at every situation and gives it what it needs.
